Mezzuzim Wanted
Beth Or FUNDRAISER:
Please drop off your old, discarded mezzuzim at Ophie's office- their kosher scrolls (klafs) will be recycled- the first one will be placed within our official Beth Or Mezzuzah, soon to be mounted on the sanctuary portal as a symbol of rededicating the shul as The New Beth Or under Rabbi Kram's spiritual leadership. Others will be placed inside personal, home versions, available for sale at $45.00 each. Each is uniquely hand-crafted by Kathryn Belkin to reflect the colorful and inspirational Beth Or design; a generous portion of the proceeds donated to Beth Or.

Oneg's
In the spirit of Beth Or volunteerism, Vicki Braille has graciously volunteered to arrange for commitments from our members to sponsor an upcoming Oneg.
She will also be requesting your support in picking a Shabbat where you will be responsilbe for setting up and cleaning up for an Oneg.
Our Oneg's are funded by our members usually in honor of a person or event. This is a special time after Shabbat Services where we have the opportunity to catch up with our fellow members. Your cooperation and support of our Oneg's is appreciated.

Red Tent
The next meeting of the Red Tent Reading Group will be on Sunday September 14th at 2:00 PM.
Our hostess will be Irene Elliot, 19756 Bel Aire Drive - 1stroke@bellsouth.net
This month's selection is The Friday Night Knitting Club by Kate Jacobs.
This novel celebrates the power of women's independence and the unbreakable sisterhood that some women are fortunate enough to share. Likened to Steel Magnolias and How to Make an American Quilt, this promises to be one we will really enjoy discussing.

Reconstructionism
and the Olympics
Wanted you to know of the profile Kol Haneshamah and Reconstructionist liturgy will have at the China Olympics.
The Kehillah of Beijing purchased our siddurim a few years ago after a comprehensive siddur search process. While a faith community in China cannot join an international movement without some consequences- they have certainly expressed their shared values with us!
