Bob Olian will lead a lecture/discussion centering on The Nine: Inside the Secret World of the Supreme Court by Jeffrey Toobin. Toobin takes an intimate look at the diverse group of justices and their decisions who have served on the Supreme Court over the past two decades.  These decisions include abortion, separation of church and state, affirmative action and the death penalty and more. He covers two especially deeply: the Clinton impeachment case and Bush v. Gore, when the Court, by a 5-4 vote.  There is no need to worry if you haven't read every page.  Bob is a retired attorney who has argued before the Supreme Court and he'll  be drawing on materials from several sources. Bob and his wonderful wife Lynn were members of Havurah of South Florida and plan to join Beth Or.
