Greta's Gnus - May 2010

My grandson Donald Katz, son of Bryan and Terrie Katz of Freehold, N.J., was awarded a three-year National Science Foundation Scholarship to work on his Ph.D at Georgia Tech.  It is on High Speed Airport and Train travel.  He previously spent a year in Bangladesh on a Fulbright Scholarship studying their transportation.  (Think we should have him come to Miami?)……

Vicki Brail went to N.Y. to help her daughter, Dori, organize her new apartment in Brooklyn.  Vicki and Jeanne are going to Alaska the end of May to celebrate Jeanne’s 60th birthday. The trip arranged by our own Stephanie Mintz of All Aboard Cruises……

My grandson Danny Reichert, son of Tom and Lisa Reichert of Miami, received his BS from the University of Central Florida.  (After returning from and being discharged from the Army in Afghanistan)……

Our traveling grand mom, April Miller, is at it again.  She flew to N.J. to spend Grandmother’s Shabbat with her two grandsons to fly back to Miami to spend Mother’s Day with her daughter and two grandchildren here (after giving a wonderful membership committee report at Board meeting on Wednesday. Watch for further details)……

I have just returned from the wedding of my granddaughter, Tamara Katz, daughter of Neil and Donna Katz, of Parkland, Fl., to Steve Jordan.  It took place in Costa Verde, Costa Rica.  Had a really nice weekend there……
