Greta's Gnus - September 2009
Our own Jenifer Berse earned Southwood Middle Schools most prestigious award last June. It was the Cathy Dallas Legacy of Kindness Award which is voted on by the entire staff, students and everyone in the school. We at Beth Or know they couldn't have made a better choice. Congratulations Jen. Well deserved..........
My High Holidays were made sweeter this year by a visit from my grandson, Dan Reichert who was home for some RR from his Army Reserve stint in Afghanistan. Was great to see him..........
Look at our Chikee which has new flooring. David Ashby (with assistance from mom and his friends from Troop 300) installed this. They had fund raisers to pay for the materials. This was his project to become an Eagle Scout. Incidentally, last spring Sam Fuerst, son of Manya painted the front of the Torah school and made a brick path leading to it also for his Eagle Scout badge. Beth Or is really benefitting from these young men being in Boy Scouts. Thanks guys........
I am pleased to announce the engagement of my grandaughter, Tamara Katz, daughter of my son Neil and wife Donna to Steve Jordan. (she is the grandaughter that recently graduated Law School) They are planning a spring wedding........(if you are counting this is the 7th of my 10 grandchildren to be married).........
