Gnus - August 2009

Well, you can tell fall is in the air when Shep and Linda Faber leave their summer abode and head back down to Miami.  It's good to have them back with us after a 3 month absence. They were missed......

If you believe in miracles, I do.  My youngest sister was struck by a car in a parking lot, tossed into the air did a spin in the air and landed on the cement (while her husband watched from the car he was waiting in to pick her up)  Other than being achey she was unharmed.  Yes there are miracles.....

Traveling this month is Sheila Moses to Arlington, Va. to her grandson's Bar Mitzva; and Scott and April Miller to visit their son, daughter in law and two young grandsons; and Diane Barkow is off to Peru........

I'm sure you all read about Don Shula on a USO tour to Iran and Afghanistan.  A picture of him with a young soldier from Miami was on the internet and in the Herald.  That young man, Dan Reichert, is my grandson. The Herald also wrote a feature article about Dan.......

Hope you all stop in and see our newly refurbished library.  A local Attorney donated some furniture to us....
