Congratulations to Prez Michael Newman and his wife Patricia on their son David being installed into the Jr. Honor Society.   Like father like son.........

Anyone that has a chance stop into Starbucks at Sunniland from 10 to 12.  We have a wonderful "Chit-Chat" with growing attendance. They reserve the back room for us and we have wonderful lively discussions.  Rabbi Mark leads us in these when he is available.  Try it, you'll like these friendly, informative sessions……..

Mazeltov to our Office Administrator Ophie Jones.  Her daughter and son in law, Yvette & Octavio Diaz recently made her a proud grandma for the first time.  She'll gladly show you a picture of pretty little Ava Nicole if you ask.......

Shirley and Gus Karger spent 4 interesting days in the Toronto/Niagara Falls area with friends who are a Palestinian Arab (originally from Jerusalem but raised in Jordan)  and his wife who is a German along with Gus who is a Holocaust Survivor and Shiley who is the daughter of Orthodox Polish Jews had interesting discussions.  Gus feels there is hope if world leaders would have such discussions.......

To those of you who missed our Simchat Torah celebration you really missed a special event.  Larry Goodman playing Sax and/or Flute, Mike on his guitar and our rabbi keeping the beat by pounding on the bimah it was one swinging evening.  (Scotch served in the Rabbi's office ahead of time had something to do with it I think)  There was dancing in the aisles with the Torah and  a packed house......
