Marcy and Butch were not in Spain as previously reported; they were on a wonderful Mediterranean cruise.  They took their son Nick and his girlfriend as their graduation from college present and all had a grand time (they did stop in Spain)..... ......

Red Tent was thrilled to have the author of Best Seller, The Friday Night Knitting Club, join our recent meeting via a conference call.  The rights to the book have been sold and you will be able to see the movie soon…....

Mazeltov to Grandma Elise Passman and husband Richard.  Her daughter, Amy, (who was Bat Mitzvah at Beth Or) and her husband are proud parents of a baby girl.  Elise has been in California doing the grandma bit for almost a month.  Incidentally the Passman’s have bought a home in North Carolina where they will be moving full time when he retires in 2 1/2 years……….

The honor of traveling farthest to attend our Yom Kippur services goes to Shawn Newman and his lovely wife Sara who flew in from Hawaii.  They will be relocating to Wash. D.C. in April with their son who is due in January........

Tip of the hat has to go to our Choir Director, Michael Henry who did the outstanding arrangements of music for a wonderful Kol Nidre using our own talent.  For those of you that were not in attendance Ellen Bukstel-Segal sang Kol Nidre with Steve Scherker accompanying her on the keyboard.   Larry Goodman followed with a beautiful flute solo and then Ellen and Larry did a duet.  (Steve accompanying them)  We have such outstanding talent in our midst and Mike took advantage of it, doing the arrangements.  Thanks Mike.  It was great.......

Celia Belsky is a traveling person lately.  In October she spent some time at a Time share with her mom that her mom owns in Pompano and in November she will fly to Virginia.  She will be spending Thanksgiving with her brother and his family.  Happy travels........
