Dear Beth Or Member:
As we embark on a new year, Rabbi Mark Kram will continue to enhance our community with his warmth, creativity, talents and knowledge. As blessed as we are to have Rabbi Kram as our spiritual leader, traditionally members of Beth Or are not mere observers. We are a caring, engaged and participatory community; we provide our members a creative and spiritual Judaism for the 21st century.
Because Beth Or is also a network of relationships, joining our community encourages participation. The more we take part, the more we build relationships, the more connected we feel, and the more our community grows. Beth Or has evolved into a congregation with a solid platform and structure; the community is the spirit and the real soul. We don’t require much from our members, but as in any organization, to be a member there are corresponding obligations.
An important value of Temple Beth Or is that no individual is ever turned away from membership for economic reasons. To meet this commitment while still fulfilling the economic requirements to run the synagogue, we ask those members who are financially able to make an additional contribution beyond the minimum dues. Only through your honest self appraisal and generosity will we be able to continue to extend our hand and effectively run our synagogue.
Beth Or offers you the convenience of paying your dues by American Express, MasterCard or Visa; however, we incur a cost of approximately 3% per transaction. If you would like to help defray this cost by making a donation of 3% of the amount you charge, it would be appreciated. This is a voluntary contribution on your part, and we hope you find the convenience of this service worthwhile. Alternatively, if you stop by the Temple office on Tuesdays or Fridays, between 10am and 2pm, to make your credit card payment, there is a savings to Beth Or.
We look forward to a healthy, joyous year and sharing special times together as both a community and a congregation.
